Power tariff likely to go up Rs2.07 per unit

ISLAMABAD: Preparations are underway to drop electricity bombshell on consumers. Electricity tariff is likely to scale up by Rs 2.07 for power distribution companies.
CPPA GA has filed application in NEPRA seeking hike in power tariff under monthly fuel charges adjustment. In event of approval, an additional burden of Rs 35 billion will be shifted to consumers. NEPRA will hear plea of Central Power Purchasing Agency on August 30.
