Narowal: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz senior leader and Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal said that general elections should be held across country at same time in October 2023. Pakistan Democratic Movement-led government will complete its five-year constitutional term in August this year.
Addressing ceremony here, he said that there will be issues in early elections in Punjab and it will be equivalent to weakening federation as country is witnessing constitutional and political crisis.
He said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan has become symbol of anarchy and he pushed country towards destruction. A day earlier, PML-N senior leader Javed Latif said that his party would agree to hold general elections after incumbent government completes its term if party is given ‘level playing field’.
