Polls in KP, Punjab have to be got held: Barrister Aitzaz

LAHORE: Senior lawyer Aitzaz Ahsan has said election of Punjab and KP assemblies will have to be got held. He said this while talking on his arrival in Lahore High Court (LHC) yesterday.

He added that Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) took suo motu notice under sub section-3 of Article 184. Legislation enacted in Parliament will have no impact on suo motu notice.

He observed that March 1 court decision will stay with 3-2 majority. Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Mandokhail have said they have given March 1 decision.

He stated that they are trying to regulate dissenting note of Justice Mansoor Ali Shah through Parliament.
