ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar urged political parties to unite and form consensus on addressing ongoing challenges in Balochistan. Speaking at Senate session, Ishaq Dar emphasised need for collective action to restore peace and end terrorism in country, specifically in Balochistan. He expressed deep concern over recent events in Balochistan, noting that every Pakistani is saddened by situation.

Dar highlighted that Balochistan is vital part of country and requires unified approach to resolve its issues. He informed Senate that Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has already arrived in Balochistan and PM Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to visit province soon. Government is maintaining close communication with Balochistan government to address situation. He stressed importance of dialogue with those who acknowledge authority of Pakistani state, while also taking firm stand against those involved in violence.

He warned that some elements, influenced by foreign agencies, are trying to destabilise province by spreading chaos and terrorism. He pointed out that Pakistan’s enemies are keen on preventing country from becoming an economic power and frequently stir political instability to hinder its progress.  Dar stated that violence in name of anger cannot be tolerated. He urged those who are dissatisfied to recognise state of Pakistan and engage in constructive dialogue.
