RAWALPINDI: Awami Muslim League Chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed emphasised that political parties are driven by efforts of workers rather than leaders, citing leaders’ inability to withstand challenges of imprisonment. According to details, Sheikh Rasheed stated that statements of ministers are creating doubts about non-holding of elections. He said that August 13 is redline for dissolving assembly, otherwise, crisis will become severe across country.
Regarding IMF agreement, he said that IMF did not include Pakistan in its agenda for June 10 due to political crisis in Pakistan. Head of Awami Muslim League said that caretaker government can estimate grief, anger and hatred in hearts of people. He predicted that if elections are not held on time, situation will become more severe. While criticising current government, Sheikh Rasheed said that government does not want to save state but its ramshackle politics.
