LAHORE: Punjab Police registered First Information Report (FIR) against 150 people including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan accusing them of creating hindrances in legal process.
FIR was registered at Race Course Police Station against PTI Chief Imran Khan, Shibli Fraz and other 150 unidentified suspects against complaint of SHO Police Station Secretariat Islamabad Nadeem Tahir on various charges including assault, armed rioting, obstructing public servants from discharging their duties and others under sections 395, 353, 148, 149, 109 and 186 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). According to FIR, PTI workers assaulted police officer on orders of Imran Khan Niazi, who is PTI Chief.
When police came to arrest Imran Khan, PTI activists surrounded him and threatened him with dire consequences, FIR added. SHO also claimed in his application that violent mob threatens to kill police officer. “Imran Khan did all planning in mutual consultation,” he added.
Baton-carrying people told police that they would kill if they came even an inch ahead. FIR further reveals that Shibli Faraz also obstructed public servants from discharging their duties by giving false statement.
