Police raid on Sh Rasheed residence: IG Police, SSP put on notice

ISLAMABAD: Additional Sessions Judge of district court Tahir Abbas Sipra while issuing notice to IG Police Islamabad and SSP on petition filed against police raid on Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed residence in Islamabad has sought reply from them within week. Petition pertaining to illegal police raid on residence of Sheikh Rasheed in Islamabad came up for hearing in district court led by additional sessions judge Tahir Abbas Sipra. Sardar Abdul Razzaq counsel for Sheikh Rasheed appeared in court.

Sardar Abdul Razzaq told court that at 3 am on May 31 night SHO Kohsar, SP, DSP, other police personnel, Rangers broke doors of his client home and entered into it forcibly by violating sanctity of veil and four walls. They vandalised home. They kept on inquiring about Sheikh Rasheed besides subjecting servants to violence. Arm of one servant got fractured and other servant got injured seriously. Police while leaving his home, stole and took away two bullet proof vehicles, licensed gun and other precious goods of Sheikh Rasheed.  Petitioner requested court to register case against Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, police officers and police men responsible for matter.
