Police raid Khetran’s house as Marri tribesmen stage protest in Quetta

QUETTA: Police in Quetta night raided house of Minister Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran’s house following terrifying Barkhan triple murders. Policewomen were also in raiding party as police searched residence along with guest rooms and other parts of minister’s house.
Police also sealed all roads leading to residence of provincial Minister in Patel Bagh area of Quetta. According to police spokesperson, police raided house to recover five children of Khan Muhammad Marri.
Move came after alliance of Marri tribes including heirs of victims staged sit-in along with bodies in Red Zone of Quetta. Sit-in of Marri alliance is being led by its chairman Jahangir Marri. While talking to media, Jahangir Marri said that several tribals were allegedly kept in private jails of provincial Minister Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran for four years.
He said that woman whose body was recovered from well in Barkhan yesterday gave statement to do something for her release from private jail. Alliance’s chairman said that they knocked on all doors but justice was not served from any side.
Jahangir Marri said that prisoners were murdered yesterday and their bodies were thrown in well in Barkhan. Marri said that police did not register First Information Report. He added that Khetran is part of Balochistan government and they want to demand justice from Centre. He announced that sit-in will be continued until Khetran is not arrested.
