Police busts wedding house robbery gang, in another operation nabs bank robbers

KARACHI: In an alleged encounter with Sachal Police, one suspected robber was shot dead while his accomplice later arrested made important revelations during interrogation.

Two-member gang-primarily targeting wedding houses in Karachi was busted and arrested individual, Yasir has provided vital revelations during interrogation.

Appearing on private TV channel, arrested suspect confessed about robberies they used to commit, exclusively in wedding homes. In his confession, alleged robber revealed that they used to conduct ‘recce’ of house before committing robbery. Yasir stated that car they used to conduct robbery was taken out on rent.

In video statement, accused revealed that they had previously looted house in Bahria Town year and a half ago and got caught by security when they attempted to target another house in same car. After spending year and a half in jail, Yasir was acquitted of case and released just month ago.

Yasir confessed that after getting out of jail, he took car on rent and carried out robbery in vicinity of Sachal Police Station limit.

Suspect told strategy, stating, “We were wandering around in our car in private housing society and noticed house where groom’s family was leaving house, after they left, we managed to enter house and looted goods, cash worth more than Rs 10 million.” Sachal Police successfully recovered all looted goods and case has been filed against arrested dacoit.

Meanwhile, police apprehended five bandits who looted more than Rs 8.6 million from bank in Shadman Town. According to details, five accused robbers were produced before judicial magistrate court, after which court sent all five arrested robbers who allegedly looted more than Rs 8.6 million on physical remand under police custody. Court sought progress report from investigation officer in next hearing. Five accused bandits allegedly looted more than Rs 8.6 million in four minutes from private bank in Shadman Town.

First Information Report filed by bank operational manager Omais Qureshi in Shah-rae-Noor Jehan Police Station stated that two accused robbers entered bank at 2:50pm while remaining three accomplices overpowered security guard standing outside bank.

Manager in FIR claimed that all five bandits managed to disarm both security guards and take both security guards hostage along with other bank staff and customers. Bandits forced Fahad Khan-cashier to unlock vault later looted cash and fled away from scene.
