Police arrest four injured ‘car lifters’ after encounter

KARACHI: Police arrested four alleged criminals affiliated with Afghan car lifter gang in injured condition after an exchange of gunfight in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 13 area.

According to details, specialised police team led by Senior Superintendent Police Anti Vehicle Lifting Cell Abdul Rahim Shirazi intercepted car in which all four suspects were trying to escape, leading to an exchange of gunfire between police and alleged robbers. Exchange of fire between police and alleged criminals was occurred at railway crossing.

Despite their injuries, suspects attempted to flee scene. However, police officers apprehended injured suspects and taken into custody.
