Poland’s role significant in status of GSP to Pakistan: Gov Tessori

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori participated in closing session of two-day international conference. He said that Poland can help Pakistani students to acquire skills in fields of science and technology through its universities, adding that opportunities available in Pakistan will also increase economic cooperation between two countries.
Governor congratulated Federal University of Urdu and University of Poland for organising conference. He said that citizens of Poland took refuge in Karachi and Quetta during Great War in 1940, including pilots and technicians. Kamran Tessori said that Pakistan was one of first Islamic countries to establish formal diplomatic relations with Poland, while Poland played an important role in giving Pakistan GSP status of European Union.
He said that Polish Oil and Gas Company is working to explore natural gas reserves in Pakistan. He said that mutual relations can be further strengthened through exchange of delegations. Governor expressed hope that cooperation from Poland will continue in future, which will further strengthen relations between two countries.
