Islamabad:  Pakistan pacer, Wahab Riaz, spoke out about his thoughts on skipper, Babar Azam's performance and how he believes that it is 'pointless' to talk about him.

In an interview with a local media channel, Riaz expressed that Babar is often the subject of criticism whenever he is discussed.

"Talking about Babar Azam right now is pointless. Whenever he's discussed, negative comments often prevail. But as a captain, his leadership skills showcase his caliber, hunger, and determination to perform for Pakistan and make a name for himself. He deserves appreciation for his efforts and determination to make his name big in the world of cricket," he said. Recently, former Pakistan cricketer, Rashid Latif, has voiced his support for the skipper, Babar Azam, amidst criticisms and backlashes he has faced for his captaincy.  The 54-year-old went on to praise Babar's batting abilities, stating that he has already established himself as one of the greatest cricketers in history.  "I won't dwell on Babar's batting, as there's not much left to say that hasn't already been observed. We've witnessed him scoring countless centuries before our very eyes. Making centuries is as routine for Babar as it is for us to cover shows. When he retires, Babar will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the greatest cricketers in history," he said.
