Poetry strong medium to spread ‘harmony’ in society: Gov Tessori

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori said that literature of any nation is always reflective to its society’s norms and general conduct of all of their life’s aspects. Poets and writers always play key role in highlighting subtle thinking. Addressing global mushaira organised by ‘Sakinan Shahr Quaid’ said that poetry has strong relationship with society and words of poet portray eras of that nation.
Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui, Mahmood Ahmad Khan, Haji Rafiq Pardesi, well-known poets and number of audience were present. Governor o congratulating organizers for continuing tradition for past 27 years said that mushaira is shining tradition of our culture and has great role in promotion of Urdu.
He said that tradition of Mushairas is as old as Urdu language, Mir Taqi Mir, Khawaja Mir Dard, Mirza Ghalib, Zouk, Dagh, Momin, Soda, Fani, Hasrat Mohani, Hali, Nazir Akbarabadi, Allamad Iqbal pinned Urdu with unmatched stars.
They penned ghazal, poem, qasida and masnavi and other formats of Urdu unparalleled through their respective periods. Urdu Language has same status and importance today and father of nation of its importance declared it national language of Pakistan. Governor said that he is trying to end hatred and spread love among people and need support. Such gatherings spread peace and love in society language aroma keep people united.
Meanwhile, honorary Consul General of Ethiopia Ibrahim Tawab and Governor discussed Ethiopian Airlines, investment and promotion of trade at meeting. Governor said Pak-Ethiopia bilateral relationship is on an upward trajectory. Consul General said that promotion of mutual trade is fruitful for both countries.
Kamran Khan said that he is willing to further increase trade with Ethiopia. Khalid Tawab said that increase in mutual trade would be beneficial for both countries.

That received acclaim at Dubai International Exhibition said Pakistan needs more research on valuation and taste of produce.
Kenyan Minister of Agriculture Mithika Linturi, High Commission of Kenya Nyambura Kamau, President of KCCI Tariq Yusuf, Chairman Pakistan Tea Association Zeeshan Paracha and former Chairman Tea Association Aman Paracha were present.
Kamran Tessori said that Pakistani people are crazy about Kenyan tea, while Pakistan is fourth largest country in world in terms of importing tea. He said that relevant institutions would be taken to solve issues of detention charges and also talk to Minister of Ports and Shipping for removing demurrages.
