LAHORE: Rifts emerged between ruling coalition partners Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Peoples’ Party over administrative issues in Punjab, it has learnt.
Sources told that PPP leaders had complained to party Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari that Punjab caretaker government is not paying heed to their requests regarding administrative issues in province. PPP members shared their concerns with Bilawal regarding Punjab interim government, saying that their requests are not being entertained by officials in province. They said Punjab officials made “Hundred excuses” whenever they were asked for anything, insiders added.
PPP members, as per sources, said they could not even get patchwork on road done, let alone get a Station House Officer transferred within province. On other hand, they said PML-N leaders’ requests get resolved in no time by Punjab bureaucracy.
Moreover, disgruntled party leaders said former principal secretary of prime minister is now secretary of Punjab caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi “Who does not resolve our issues”. They added that banners put up for Zardari’s welcome were also removed by provincial authorities.
