PML-N MNA Das asks govt to initiate probe in Bahawalpur varsity incident

Karachi: Member National Assembly, leader Pakistan Muslim League-N Kesoo Mal Kheeal Das talking on floor demanded government to thoroughly initiate probe into video incident happened in Bahawalpur Islamia University.
Referring to MNA Aliya Kamran who raised concerns on floor in this regard, he said, “I will impress upon government to take serious notice of such incident and bring beasts to justice”. Such incidents surfaced on social media are tantamount to disgrace women and elements involved in University incident should be severely punished. “With their hard work girls obtain grades and maligning them on pretext of begging higher grades on unfounded grounds is tantamount to insulting our girl students’, he remarked. “Nobody has right to smear dignity of girls under such excuse and such elements are bound to face music for their shamefull act”, he asserted.
“Every girl should never be associated with ill-natured-plans and steps should be taken to prevent such incidents completely”, he added.
Scandal of over 5,000 obscene videos in Islamia University has shocked Bahawalpur. Police wastrying to suppress video scandal whereas report has been presented to caretaker Chief Minister Punjab. “Three officers including University’s Director of Finance Dr Abuzar, Chief Security Officer Syed Ejaz Shah and Transport Officer Altaf are alleged of crime, however University administration termed arrest of three officers conspiracy against institution.”
DPO Abbas Shah challenging University allegations said that it was revealed that 113 drug-addict students are in University. DPO said that police’s target is drug dealers, not universities and police will expose them to stop drug addiction in institutes.
