LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) appointed Hamza Shehbaz as leader of opposition in Punjab Assembly (PA). According to details, Hamza Shehbaz has been appointed as opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly second time. Notification has been issued after approval of Speaker Punjab Assembly Sabtain Khan. It should be noted that post of opposition leader was vacant after change of government.

Hamza Shehbaz became Chief Minister of Punjab on April 30, 2022 after which he was de-notified as opposition leader. PML-N led collision government lost its power in Punjab after Pervaiz Elahi became Chief Minister of province as Supreme Court had declared ruling of former Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari in Chief Minister’s election illegal.
