PMA establishing hospital, Sindh Minister Nasir Shah performs groundbreaking

Karachi: Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) organised groundbreaking of its project establishing tertiary care hospital in name of ‘Karachi Central Hospital (KCH)’ near Water Pump Chowrangi F B area. Sindh Minister Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah performed groundbreaking ceremony. Senior PPP leader Dr Asim Hussain, Minister Labour Saeed Ghani, Waqar Mehdi, Special Assistant to CM, Muhammad Ali Shah DG KDA, Masroor Ahsan President PPP district central, Najmi Alam PPP leader Karachi Division were among dignitaries. Dr. Abdul Ghafoor welcomed guets. Secretary General PMA Centre Dr. Qazi Wasiq, member Board of Governors Professor Dr. Sonia Naqvi, President PMA Karachi, Dr. S.M. Qaiser Sajjad, Dr. Muhammad Ismail Memon, Vice President PMA Karachi and others were present Pakistan Peoples Party leadership commended the initiative undertaken by the PMA and vowed to fully support the cause.
In upcoming phase of project an emergency covering Medicine, Surgery, Cardiology, Paeds, Gynaecology, accident and Trauma Centre with pharmacy and Lab facilities will be developed as soon as 1st out of three hospital tower building is constructed. PMA’s primary aim of Project is to establish and run hospital with self-sustainability and on non-profit basis. Hospital where comprehensive, state of the art and total health care facility would be made available to people at affordable costs, without discrimination as to colour, cast or creed.
Project will institute training programmes the paramedics, nurses, under and post graduate training of doctors as well.
