PM welcomes Sikh pilgrims on Baba Nanak’s 553rd birthday

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed Sikh pilgrims visiting Pakistan to celebrate 553rd birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak. Prime Minister in a tweet said that life and message of Baba Guru Nanak promotes brotherhood and peace. “On this revered occasion, I welcome Sikh pilgrims who have come to Pakistan from all over world,” he said, expressing hope that they would have a wonderful stay in country.
Meanwhile, Shehbaz Sharif said that during his interaction with world leaders on sidelines of Climate Implementation Summit in Sharm Al Sheikh, he explained challenges of post flood reconstruction in Pakistan. In a tweet, PM said he also threw light on government’s efforts and highlighted urgent need for continued international support for rehabilitation of flood victims.
