PM welcomes SC’s suo moto on Arshad’s murder, assures full cooperation

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcoming suo moto notice taken by Supreme Court on killing of prominent journalist Arshad Sharif assured that government would extend full cooperation to Court.

“I welcome Supreme Court taking suo moto notice of murder of journalist Arshad Sharif,” he said in Twitter post. Shehbaz Sharif mentioned that he had already written letter to Chief Justice of Pakistan for setting up judicial commission to probe murder.

Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial directed government to register first information report by tonight. Court also sought inquiry report of committee formed by government to probe killing of Arshad Sharif.
