LAHORE: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited under-construction Lahore Bridge and CBD Underpass to review pace of work and directed for fast-paced completion. During his visit to construction site of Lahore Bridge, he was apprised that Lahore Development Authority project worth Rs 1,712 million was started in year 2021, but delayed for two years due to issuance of no objection certificate.

He expressed his displeasure over pace of work and shutdown programme by LESCO. He directed for initiation of legal action against official concerned for delay and desired completion of process in two weeks. Officials were given one month time to complete construction work instead of period of two months. He was accompanied by Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Syed Mohsin Naqvi, Chief Secretary and other senior officials. He visited CBD Underpass and termed delay unfair. He questioned hiring of third-party for validation and directed appointment of renowned third party at cost of construction company. He directed for expeditious completion of project by advising relevant officials to give special incentives to workforce.
