PM to embark 2-day Turkiye visit today

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will pay two-day official visit to Türkiye from November 25-26, 2022, at invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a press release from Prime Minister's Office (PMO) stated.

Alongside President Erdogan, premier will jointly inaugurate third of four MILGEM Class Corvette Ships for Pakistan Navy, PNS Khyber at Istanbul Shipyard, press statement added.

Two leaders will also hold wide-ranging discussions encompassing bilateral relations, regional situation and other issues of common interest.

Shehbaz is also expected to interact with leaders of Turkish business community. President of ECO Trade and Development Bank (ETDB) will also call on Prime Minister during his stay in Istanbul.

MILGEM project, based on joint collaboration between two countries, represents significant milestone in Pakistan-Türkiye strategic partnership that continues to progress on an upward trajectory.

It must be mentioned here that during recent meetings held between PM Shehbaz and President Erdogan both leaders vowed to strengthen bilateral ties between Pakistan and Turkiye.
