LAHORE: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif vowed to eradicate Pakistan's enemies during funeral of Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas, who was martyred in terrorist attack in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province previous day.

Funeral prayer was attended by Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, IG Police Punjab and number of senior military officers, civil authorities and residents.

PM also met with parents of Shaheed captain and expressed condolences. He announced transformation of native village of martyred officer into model village and renamed it 'Faraz Ilyas Shaheed'.

Also on X (formerly Twitter), he noted that he was deeply saddened by martyrdom of Pak Army personnel including captain in targeted attack in District Lakki Marwat.

PM Shehbaz assured nation of their commitment, stating, "We will completely eliminate enemies of Pakistan. Blood of shaheed Captain Faraz Ilyas will not be in vain, his sacrifice will yield results."
