PM Shehbaz vows to ensure sanctity of Constitution

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif vowed to ensure sanctity of Constitution by making Pakistan economically developed and independent and by facilitating common people. “Constitution is protector and guiding principle of Pakistan and we can sacrifice our lives to protect it,” he said in his message to nation.
Prime Minister felicitated nation on completion of 50 years of 1973 Constitution of country. He paid tributes to all political parties, leaders and parliamentarians who formulated Constitution for country. “We pay tribute to all respected personalities who elevated sanctity of Constitution and continue to play role in its strength during last 50 years,” he added. PM Shehbaz said Constitution of Pakistan 1973 was extract of vision of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Muhammad Iqbal and other founders of Pakistan.
He said Constitution of Pakistan kept nation united. Terming it mother of all state institutions, he said Constitution is unanimously agreed upon civil agreement among all stakeholders living in Pakistan.
He said despite untoward incidents and conspiracies that happened in past, Constitution maintained its existence in country. He said Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was not only architect of Constitution but also one to sacrifice his own life for its sanctity. “I particularly salute Benazir Bhutto and Muhammad Nawaz Sharif who played historic role in promoting, saving and upholding Constitution,” he added.
