PM Shehbaz visits Chinese Embassy day after firing on Chinese nationals

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Chinese Embassy to condemn Karachi firing incident in which Chinese nationals were injured. He assured exemplary punishment for those involved in incident.

Talking to Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong, PM said that he came to condemn yesterday’s attack on Chinese nationals and to inquire after health of those injured in incident. He assured Chinese Ambassador that those responsible in incident would be apprehended soon and would be awarded exemplary punishment.

He informed Chinese Ambassador that he was personally supervising process of arresting those involved in incident and bringing them to justice. Moreover, he directed to provide best medical facilities to Chinese citizens injured in incident.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Special Assistant to PM Tariq Fatemi accompanied Prime Minister. He reiterated that security of Chinese nationals was top priority of the government.

Chinese Ambassador thanked Prime Minister for his visit and hoped that he would play his role in bringing those responsible for incident to justice soon.
