PM Shehbaz, UAE President reiterate stance to bolster ties

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President of United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reiterated their mutual commitment to further expand and diversify special bilateral relations between Pakistan and UAE.

During telephonic conversation, PM thanked UAE President for financial and material support to Pakistan after recent devastation caused by climate-induced floods in Pakistan, PM Office Media Wing said in statement.

He briefed him on upcoming ‘International Conference on Resilient Pakistan’, to be held in Geneva on January 9 and solicited his support for high-level participation from UAE. President Sheikh Mohamed expressed UAE’s whole-hearted support for initiatives to strengthen Pakistan’s climate resilience which is main agenda of conference.  Prime Minister also reiterated an invitation to UAE president for visit to Pakistan.
