PM Shehbaz to address UNGA on Sept 23

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to address United Nations’ General Assembly (UNGA) on September 23. According to report, four Cabinet members and top officials will accompany prime minister to New York, where he will represent Pakistan at UNGA’s 77th session.

Prime Minister is also expected to return back same evening, report claimed adding that Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto, State Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and Information Minister Maryum Aurangzeb will be travelling along Shehbaz Sharif. Delegation will also include Foreign Secretary and officials from foreign and other ministries. PM will be landing in New York on September 19, while he will attend opening session of UNGA moot very next morning. Shehbaz Sharif, as per schedule will address a conference on educational reforms.

Conference will review strategy to combat impacts of infectious diseases on education system. Moreover, prime minister will also be attending conferences on food insecurity and climate change.
