PM Shehbaz reaches Azerbaijan on two-day official visit

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reached Azerbaijan for two-day official visit on invitation of President Ilham Aliyev. Upon his arrival, PM Shehbaz was welcomed by Azerbaijan’s First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov, Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Bilal Hayee, PM Office Media Wing said in press release.

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Commerce Minister Syed Naveed Qamar, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Dr Mussadik Malik and SAPM Tariq Fatemi were part of premier’s delegation.

During his visit, PM Shehbaz will meet Azerbaijan President. Azerbaijan’s ministerial delegation will also meet premier to discuss bilateral cooperation in trade and energy sectors.

Earlier PM Shehbaz said facts had disproved false propaganda made by PTI Chief about receiving cipher and waving fake paper, declaring incumbent setup an imported government.

He inaugurated road projects of federal capital and Rawalpindi, including Srinagar Highway-Seventh Avenue overhead bridge. He attended opening ceremony of reconstructed Capt Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed (previously known as IJP Road) and also performed the groundbreaking of 11th avenue. He was also given detailed briefing on development projects.

He said PTI Chairman tried to tarnish prestige of Pakistan. People were being misled as they were told that his (PTI Chief’s) government was removed by US, added PM Shehbaz.
