PM Shehbaz meets investors in London

LONDON: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in London for packed schedule of engagements, including meetings with investors from various countries and attendance at Commonwealth meeting. Sources revealed that Shehbaz Sharif met officials from various departments at his residence here. In addition to attending Commonwealth meeting today, Prime Minister will also join King Charles for dinner on Friday evening.
On Saturday, Shehbaz Sharif will be among heads of state attending coronation of King Charles at Westminster Abbey. Last night, Shehbaz Sharif met with his brother, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. This trip is seen as an important opportunity for Pakistani Prime Minister to strengthen ties with UK and other countries, as well as to showcase Pakistan's potential as an investment destination. With his packed schedule of engagements, it is clear that Shehbaz Sharif is determined to make most of his time in London.
He decried what he termed "Double standards" of judiciary while dealing with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan and urged everyone to play their part in establishing rule of law in country.
Meanwhile, he met Nawaz Sharif and briefed him about PDM-PTI talks on in connection with holding elections. He also talked to media and emphasised on supremacy of Parliament besides infoemed about efforts of government in tackling economic woes of country. He said that confrontation between institutions is not in national interest.
