PM Shehbaz greets Christian community on Easter

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif felicitated Christian community around world, particularly Pakistani Christian brothers and sisters on celebrating Easter. On his Twitter handle, he wished very happy Easter to Christian community. “Let us all vow to do our bit in making world peaceful place where communities can live in harmony and build tomorrow of hope,” he added.

In separate press release of PM Office Media Wing, he reiterated that government was committed to protecting basic rights, lives and properties of all religious communities of country. Felicitating Christian community, he observed that occasion reflected upon mutual affection and respect as there was need of unity and interfaith harmony. Easter reminded them of fortitude of Hazrat Isa (AS) and his teachings about tolerance, brotherhood and love for humanity, he said, adding by following these teachings, peace and unity could be promoted in society.

Lauding contribution of Christian community, he said that they had not only played vital role during Pakistan Movement, but were also performing their part in national progress and prosperity.

He called upon to renew pledge for making world peaceful abode where all communities live in harmony and move ahead for better future.
