ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep grief over loss of precious lives in tourist bus accident near Thalichi at Karakoram Highway.

In statement, premier prayed for eternal peace of deceased and expressed condolences with their bereaved families. PM Shehbaz directed Gilgit-Baltistan authorities for immediate relief operation and also directed relevant federal departments to assist in relief work.

Praying for speedy recovery of injured, he directed authorities concerned to provide best medical facilities to them. PM Shehbaz also ordered an inquiry into accident to ascertain its cause. Additionally, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed his sorrow over loss of lives in Karakoram Highway bus incident. He said: ‘I am saddened to hear news about incident of tourist bus.’ He condoled with bereaved families of bus passengers, who lost their lives in incident. Bilawal Bhutto prayed for early recovery of injured persons and stressed need for preparing strategy to avert such incidents in future.
