ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif assured government’s blanket support to Saudi investment, enabling investors and businessmen to accomplish their future projects in Pakistan expeditiously.

Addressing dinner gathering hosted in honour of visiting delegation of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he said that time waited for none and stressed that they should overcome challenges if they really wanted to make use of this opportunity as Saudi leadership and their leading investors and business people wanted to help Pakistan.

He reiterated that it was not government’s job to do businesses but it had to offer policy frameworks, act like catalysts and remove all hurdles for speedy achievement of economic targets.

Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, federal ministers, Saudi Ambassador in Pakistan, members of delegation and senior officials were present. He said that Special Investment Facilitation Council was very robust and encompassing vehicle to attain all those projects in interest of people of Pakistan and Saudi investors, leading to further strengthening of mutual cooperation and partnership. He expressed his satisfaction over solid and tangible progress achieved during delegation’s interaction with Pakistani counterparts.

Crown Prince’s dynamic and visionary leadership had placed KSA among most progressive societies in world, fastest growing economy with latest infrastructure, transport facilities, provision of jobs and progress in every sphere of life which was phenomenal, he added.

“KSA always stood with Pakistan through thick and thin and in different times. If we thank them, we can’t for their generosity for last seven decades,” he added.
