PM Shehbaz, Asif Zardari extend heartfelt wishes on Sindh Culture Day

KARACHI: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extending his heartfelt greetings to everyone on Sindhi Cultural Day being celebrated across country while sharing greetings on social media site, Twitter, said that culture and heritage of Sindh is beautifying entire region and humanity for thousands of years. He wished happy Sindhi Culture Day to all Sindhi brothers and sisters.

Meanwhile former President and PPP co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman of Party and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari congratulated all residents of Sindh and said that intelligent and civilised nations never forget their culture, civilisation and language. Zardari said that founder of PPP, Quaid-e-Awam Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Shaheed, established Ministry of Culture to highlight culture of Pakistani nation and established museums of culture so that nation can maintain respect for their culture.

He said that peace, affection, love, honour and brotherhood have been great civilisation of Sindh. He said Sindh is land of sufi elders, learned friends and brave men.  In addition Bilawal Bhutto Zardari congratulated all Sindhi people across world on Sindh Culture Day. He said that Sindh culture is beautiful mixture of Indus valley culture and Islamic culture. Mohenjo-Daro is mother of Sindhi culture. Ajrak, topi (hat), Rali, lok literature, music and meal from Sindh are unique, he added.

Bilawal said that world agrees that culture is mutual heritage of humanity and promotion of art and literature is manifesto of Pakistan Peoples’ Party. He said that Pakistani youth play role to present our culture in innovative ways in world. Sindh Culture Day is being celebrated with zeal and zest across Sindh and other parts of country on first Sunday of every December. Various cultural, government and non-government organisations organised seminars, rallies and conferences to highlight centuries-old culture of Sindh valley.
