KARACHI: Hashmat Habib President Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Adlia has been shocked to observe miscarriage of justice causing serious damage to Shehbaz Sharif’s politics and rule of law. He said good governance demands establishment of rule of law and sanctity of orders passed by Prime Minister.
Senior lawyer said that Shehbaz Sharif-led government took bold decisions against undemocratic demands of Imran Khan but bureaucracy and incompetent legal team are bent upon to damage governance of his government.
He pointed out that on one hand Imran Khan’s mob politics is diluting day by day but on other hand PM’s orders are being ridiculously flouted by bureaucracy. For example; appointment of Chairman Evacuee Trust Properties Board on forged and imaginary Cabinet meeting, secondly nomination of Chairman, Pakistan National Shipping Corporation that has not been acted upon.
He said that Prime Minister’s order has been frustrated by Deputy Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, Establishment Division who issued notification wherein unnecessarily he mentioned that appointment of new Chairman Rear Admiral Jawad Ahmed would be subject to final outcome of petition pending in Sindh High Court while there was no stay order passed by Court.
On basis of this notification removed Chairman Rizwan Ahmed is still occupying office of national organisation wherein Prime Minister is empowered to appoint any director and chairman. Similarly, PM is being misguided by his Law Minister regarding Housing Project of Supreme Court lawyers’ wherein Supreme Court Judgment is being violated attracting action for contempt of Court. He said it appears that Shehbaz Sharif is ignorant of these illegalities or unable to understand their consequences.
Therefore, he must look into these matters otherwise firsthand Supreme Court lawyers will rise against his government and skeleton of good governance will also shatter, he warned.
