Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has instructed the relevant authorities to provide the maximum possible assistance to Sikh yatrees who plan to attend their religious festivals in Pakistan.

During a meeting he chaired to assess the visa procedures for Sikh yatrees, Prime Minister Kakar emphasized that Sikh pilgrims visiting their sacred sites in Pakistan are considered guests in the country.

The meeting included discussions on the various Sikh festivals held throughout the year and the visa issuance procedures for pilgrims. Prime Minister Kakar urged authorities to provide comprehensive support to Sikh yatrees to enable them to perform their religious rituals and visit their holy sites. Additionally, he called for expediting the visa application process while maintaining transparency in the system.

He also stressed that Sikh yatrees entering Pakistan via the Kartarpur Corridor should receive services of international standards. The interior ministry provided information during the meeting on visa procedures for Sikhs, the time required for visa issuance, administrative matters related to the Kartarpur Corridor, and the annual Sikh festivals.
