PM Kakar approves ‘practical steps’ for economic revival

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq approved various practical steps imperative for economic revival of country. Approval was given as he chaired 5th Apex Committee Meeting of Special Investment Facilitation Council.
SIFC meeting was held with singular focus to improve overall business and investment environment in country being imperative for ‘Economic Revival,’ said statement issued by Prime Minister’s Office.
Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, Cabinet members, provincial chief ministers and high-level government officials attended meeting.
Concerned ministries presented their plans/roadmaps to overcome macroeconomic challenges, governance related impediments and voids in regulatory mechanisms in bid to attract both foreign and domestic investment and stimulate economic growth,” read statement.
Committee deliberated upon various measures to be taken in short, medium and long term to reap envisaged dividends. Practical steps approved by premier will be operationalised as soon as possible, it said.
PM Kakar asked ministries to deliver optimal results irrespective of time that is available with interim government and emphasised to lay strong foundation for future government.
