ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar felicitated Christian community on Christmas. He said nation on this day should pledge to make Pakistan model of religious tolerance and inter-faith harmony.

In message on Christmas, he said, “Christian community is celebrating Christmas in Pakistan and across world and I and whole nation felicitate Christian brothers and sisters on happy occasion of Christmas. Christmas is name of love, brotherhood, patience and sacrifice.” These values were critical in putting society on path of development, he added.

Interim PM said Prophet of Allah, Hazrat Essa (AS) healed pain of humanity and took message of God to whole humanity. Hazrat Essa (AS) reformed humanity with teachings of peace, brotherhood, tolerance and forbearance which led to success of humans. Moral teachings and guidance of Prophet were beacon for humanity for all times to come, he added.

In last few years at international level, human society had been facing an adverse situation due to wave of religious intolerance, he observed.
