PM directs holding of regular CSS special exams for minorities, marginalised areas

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar directed formulation of comprehensive policy for appointment of competent civil servants in remote areas of country including Balochistan.
He ordered restoration of rotation policy of civil servants in line with its original spirit and to ensure its strict implementation.
Chairing meeting to review progress on filling up vacant seats reserved for marginalised areas in civil bureaucracy through special examinations as well as rotation policy PM Kakar directed to regularly hold competitive examinations to fill vacant seats in civil bureaucracy reserved for minorities and people from marginalised areas.
He stressed persistent awareness campaigns to encourage minorities to participate in competitive examination for government jobs. Interim PM said country’s Constitution provides equal rights and opportunities to minorities and people belonging to underprivileged areas. He said government was fully committed to ensuring equal opportunities for progress for every citizen.
Meeting was briefed about recently held special examination of Central Superior Services. It was informed that 15,000 candidates appeared in examination, out of which 3,500 belonged to Balochistan. Examination has over 60 seats reserved in quota for Balochistan.
PM’s Adviser Ahad Khan Cheema, PM’s Secretary, Secretary Establishment and Secretary Federal Public Service Commission attended meeting.
