PM assures to address business community issues

KARACHI: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul-Haq Kakar assured to try to address problems of business community including those relating to power and gas. 

Speaking to prominent entrepreneurs here, he acknowledged contributions of businessmen saying they are engine of economy and agents of economic sustenance.

Prime Minister said given our limited mandate with regards to assisting electoral process, we will try to do whatever is possible to facilitate business community.

Prime Minister asked entrepreneurs to give practical suggestions for revival of economy. He said mechanism will be designed after consultations with entrepreneurs for feasible actions that caretaker government can undertake in its brief period and if possible we will also leave blue print for incoming government. He said our aim is to move towards smooth transition.

He said it is through collective efforts we can embark upon journey of transforming and improving country's economy. He was confident that we will transform and bring positive change together.

Anwaarul-Haq Kakar said government's responsibility is to facilitate business community and then collect taxes from them so that these could be spent for uplift of deprived segments of society. He asked business community to embrace best business practices for better branding of Pakistan in outside world.

He recognised fact that industrialization is not possible without ensuring supply of consistent cheap energy. He said Pakistan is blessed with immense natural resources and there is no need for despondency.
