RAWALPINDI: Awami Muslim League Chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said that nation would take right decision at right time no matter who is installed as caretaker Prime Minister.
Taking to Twitter, former Interior Minister said ruling coalitions' laptop scheme, massive development spending and amendments to empower caretaker PM would prove futile as public would stand for self-respect.
He said development projects would prove insignificant when public is facing skyrocketing inflation and power tariff. He said recent increase in electricity prices had added to woes of people, adding that it would also shut industries.
Former Minister said increasing poverty and violation of law and constitution were enough to sweep away government of coalition partners. He said installation of caretaker setup of their choice would not save ruling parties from defeat in elections if they are hold.
"No one can eliminate anyone unless Allah does," he slammed government for its massive action against political opponents in past 15 months. Ahmed said police stations were flooded with false cases, adding that ongoing fascism and misappropriation would end soon and public would use its right to vote.
Meanwhile, Islamabad High Court has reserved judgment on petition filed by Sheikh Rasheed requesting court to order to return his bullet proof vehicles taken by police into its possession illegally during raid at his home.
Petitioner had also requested court to order for initiating proceedings against SHO Kohsar Police on misconduct and abuse of powers.
Case came up for hearing before single bench of IHC led by Justice Tariq Jahangiri.
