PIA GM security dismissed on harassing female employee

KARACHI: Pakistan International Airline (PIA) General Manager (GM) of security was dismissed for harassing female employee. Chief Ombudsman pronounced decision after hearing harassment case on complaint of PIA's female employee and issued order to dismiss GM security of PIA.
Female employee was posted in PIA Vigilance and Security Department and filed an application against GM PIA security for harassment.
In 2019, Chief Executive Officer of PIA, Arshad Malik has taken notice of alleged harassment of female officer of national carrier.
CEO Arshad Malik has forwarded complaint to women's protection committee of airline and ordered committee to complete investigation at earliest. He had sought thorough report of incident.
PIA spokesperson Mashood Tajwar said recommendations of committee would be implemented after completion of its probe. He said current administration would address grievances of any female employee of national carrier. Ombudsman remains committed not to spare anyone on harrasing female
