MATSUYAMA: The Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA) recently held its highly anticipated Executive Meeting in Matsuyama, Japan.

The gathering brought together top officials and experts from across Asia to discuss the future of baseball in the region and review plans for upcoming events. The meeting was attended by leading representatives of BFA, including:President, Mr. Jeffrey Koo Jr. (TPE), Vice Presidents: Mr. Chen Xu (CHN), Mr. Masatake Yamanaka (JPN), Mr. Syed Fakhar Ali Shah (PAK), Commission Members: Ms. Hiroko Yamada (JPN), Mr. Vutichai Udomkarnjananan (THA), Observers and BFA Staff: Mr. Soroush Taleghani (IRI), Mr. Leslie Suntay (PHI), Mr. Roger Kao, Mr. Happy Wu, Mr. Michael Chiang, Mr. Richard Lin, Mr. Chris Day, Mr. Tim Tseng, Ms. Yoyo Dai (TPE).

Representing Pakistan, Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, the Secretary General of Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) and Vice President of BFA, played a pivotal role in sharing Pakistan’s progress and future goals for baseball development. Committee Scheduled upcoming BFA Events in 2025 include: BFA XVI West Asia Cup (WAC), Location: Karaj, Iran in May 1-8, BFA XII U15 Asian Baseball Championship, Location: Tainan City, Taiwan in the end of August, BFA XXXI Asian Baseball Championship, Location: Pingtan County, Fujian Province in China, BFA IV Women’s Baseball Asian Cup Location: Guali Town, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China. The Baseball Federation of Asia recognized the efforts of the Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB), led by Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, in promoting baseball and nurturing talent in Pakistan. According to the PFB media managee Perwaiz Ahmed Shaikh, The PFB’s ongoing initiatives to develop the sport at both the grassroots and international levels were lauded during the meeting.

The BFA Executive Meeting served as a platform to strengthen ties among member countries, enhance regional collaboration, and ensure the successful execution of upcoming baseball events. The Federation remains committed to fostering growth, unity, and excellence in baseball throughout Asia.
