Petroleum sector gets Rs1,312m for 9 projects in 8MFY2023

ISLAMABAD: Government released funds amounting to Rs 1,312 million to advance nine ongoing petroleum-related projects during an eight-month period of current fiscal year under Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP 2022-23) against total allocation of Rs 1.48 billion.
Out of total disbursement of Rs 1,312.10 million, around Rs 698.04 million have been spent on petroleum projects to accelerate oil and gas exploration activities from July to February, according to official data available with APP.
As per PSDP document, incumbent government had earmarked Rs 150.560 million for establishment of National Mineral Data Centre Directorate General of Minerals, Rs 303.700 million for expansion and up-gradation of Pakistan Petroleum Corehouse for its sustainable operations to facilitate oil and gas exploration research in Pakistan.
