Petrol price increased by Rs1.35/litre for next fortnight

ISLAMABAD: Against market expectations, government has increased price of petrol by Rs 1.35 per litre for next fortnight, ending on November 15.

According to notification issued by Finance Division, new price of petrol will be Rs 248.38 per litre, up from Rs 247.03 during last fortnight. “Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority has worked out consumer prices of petroleum products, based on price variation in international market,” read statement released by Finance Division late Thursday.

Similarly, price of high-speed diesel (HSD) was increased from Rs 251.29 to Rs 255.14 per litre-an increase of Rs 3.85 per litre. Meanwhile, prices of other petroleum products have been reduced.

New price of kerosene will be Rs 161.54, down by Rs 1.48 from Rs 163.02 per litre. Likewise, price of light-diesel oil has been reduced by Rs 2.61 from Rs 150.12 to Rs 147.51 per litre.
