Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Pervaiz Elahi faced a fresh arrest in a terrorism case shortly after being discharged by a Lahore court in the Master Plan case.

Elahi was presented before the duty judicial magistrate the day after his initial detention by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE). Sources revealed that he would be transferred from Lahore to Adiala jail later in the evening.

On the preceding Saturday, ACE Punjab took Pervaiz Elahi into custody only a day after an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) had granted him bail in the Federal Judicial Complex (FJC) attack case.

Following his release from Adiala jail, Elahi was re-arrested by the ACE team. He was subsequently brought before the judicial complex for transitory remand, where Duty Judge Shahrukh Arjumand approved a one-day transit remand.

Pervaiz Elahi is set to be transported to the ACE headquarters in Lahore by evening, as confirmed by officials.

Earlier on Friday, an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) granted bail to the former Punjab chief minister in the judicial complex attack case. Elahi appeared before ATC Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain's court, where bail was granted against a surety bond of Rs 20,000.

It's noteworthy that Pervaiz Elahi has faced repeated arrests and detentions since the May 9 riots.
