Peace in city ‘need of hour’, will get rid of street crimes: CM Murad

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah vowed to maintain peace in Karachi at any cost, saying that city has already paid heavy price in bloodshed.
“We have paid heavy price for peace in Karachi by sacrificing citizens, political workers, police, Rangers and Army personnel. Therefore, peace in city is very important to us.”
At condolence meeting of Shaheed Akbar Nagori, younger brother of former provincial Minister Javed Nagori held at Kikri Ground Lyari also attended by Local Govt Minister Saeed Ghani, MNAs Nabil gabol, Qadir Patel, Senator Masroor Ahsan, MPA Asif Khan and party workers and people of Lyari, Murad Shah said that PPP government had previously restored law and order in city and they would do same to tackle street crime challenge efficiently. In May 2015, terrorist attack claimed life of Akbar Nagori, dedicated political worker, Shah recalled tragic incident.
He said people of Lyari are truly patriotic and politically aware. “They have actively participated in various political movements, including men, women and even their children,” he said. Pakistan Peoples’ Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto instructed me to provide Lyari’s people with health, education, water and sanitation facilities, CM added.
Most of internal roads in Lyari have been developed and health and education facilities have been improved in area Kakri Ground has been converted into significant sports facility to encourage children and youth to engage in healthy activities.
He urged people of Lyari to provide their children with good education, enabling them to compete for jobs in Pakistan’s Army, Navy, police and prestigious national institutions.
