Karachi: Independents could not hide their delight after taking seats. Altaf Patel known to many in area as Tiger Patel. Tiger Patel said, “I want to dedicate my win to people of Palestine and those suffering injustice.”

Tiger said, “My wife has always been at my side and she has always supported me. It is not easy as you do come in for lot of criticism.

It was difficult campaign as I was on my own with handful of supporters and we worked hard to reach out to people again.”

In Bolton, Greater Manchester, Labour lost several seats to independents such as Ayyub Chota Patel in Rumworth who dedicated his win to support for ceasefire in Gaza.

Ayyub Patel said that this is win for Palestine. We people of Rumworth have shown that they believe in ceasefire.
