After making her debut with chart-topping global hit Pasoori, Shae Gill dropped, not one but two tracks this winter and fans can’t keep calm. First one is cover of classic wedding song Lathay Di Chadar for brand shoot and second, collaboration with songwriter-singer duo Hassan and Roshan from Lahore.

Latter titled Sukoon, both for its music video and song, became hit amongst fans. While some people had issues with subtle hints of queerness in video, majority of users wrote about how peaceful and melancholic vibes song gives. A few users even compared Gill’s voice to legendary Nazia Hassan after listening to song. Hassan and Roshan took to Instagram to share clip and wrote, “When director heard song, he said song gave him sense of peace coupled with melancholy. Like goldfish in fishbowl, zindagi haseen bhi hay, tanha bhi hay [life is also beautiful, life is also lonely). A goldfish in bowl, perhaps prettiest, loneliest thing one could visualise.”–Agencies
