Pak-Russia determine to enhance bilateral trade, investment

SAMARKAND: Pakistan and Russia agreed on importance of furthering bilateral cooperation in trade and investment, energy and food security.  

According to details, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar held meeting with Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov in Samarkand and exchanged views on entire scope of bilateral relations as well as on regional and global issues.

During discussions held on sidelines of 4th Neighbouring Countries of Afghanistan meeting, they agreed on importance of high-level exchanges for mutual benefit of two countries. They agreed on importance of furthering bilateral cooperation in trade and investment, energy and food security.

They agreed on importance of continued close consultation to promote shared objectives of peaceful, stable, sovereign and prosperous Afghanistan.

Pakistan and Russia also reviewed progress on various economic initiatives under the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
