Pakistan’s pursuit of peace shouldn't be misinterpreted as weakness: Kakar

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar emphasized that regional peace hinges on resolving the Jammu and Kashmir dispute between Pakistan and India during his address at the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Academy Asghar Khan's officer graduation ceremony.
Kakar stressed that while Pakistan seeks amicable relations with all nations, particularly its neighbors, its pursuit of peace should not be interpreted as a sign of weakness.
Expressing concern over the human rights situation in occupied Kashmir, Kakar asserted Pakistan's commitment to avoiding an arms race while enhancing its defense capabilities aligned with technological advancements. He highlighted the need for progress in space networks, cyber technology, nano technology, and artificial intelligence given the changing geo-strategic environment.
Commending the PAF's modernization through sophisticated technology and achievements in cyber space and non-contact warfare, Kakar praised the armed forces' professionalism and readiness to tackle internal and external challenges.
Kakar acknowledged the nation's appreciation for the armed forces' sacrifices and their role in nation-building, expressing confidence in overcoming challenges for a prosperous future. He congratulated the graduating cadets, urging them to maintain a commitment to excellence and stay updated on modern warfare technology.
During the ceremony, Kakar awarded accolades to outstanding cadets, witnessed a fly-past of various PAF jets, and recognized exceptional performance with trophies and prestigious honors.
Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu welcomed the prime minister, marking the commencement of the ceremony. Kakar's address reiterated Pakistan's stance on regional peace and technological advancements in defense capabilities while honoring the armed forces' commitment and sacrifices.
