Pakistan's major auto manufacturers, including Honda Atlas Cars, Toyota Indus, and Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC), are facing a crisis as they announce temporary shutdowns of their production plants due to an ongoing shortage of crucial raw materials.
The PSMC, in a statement from its company secretary, revealed that due to inventory shortages, the automobile plant will be closed from October 25, 2023, to October 27, 2023, while motorcycle production will continue.
Honda Atlas Cars also made a similar announcement through their company secretary, citing severe disruptions in the supply chain due to inventory and parts shortages. Consequently, they will cease plant operations from October 24, 2023, to October 31, 2023.
Previously, Indus Motor Company Limited had already decided to completely shut down its plant from August 25 to September 06, 2023, due to disruptions in the supply chain.
